Last Minute Strategies and Activities for Improving High School EOC Writing

Good writing focuses on key characteristics: idea development, organization, voice, word choice, sentence fluency, and conventions. In this workshop, we will explore strategies and activities to help incorporate these traits. We will focus on last minute ideas for preparing secondary students for STAAR and EOC success. Participants will practice strategies for crafting written responses. Finally, we will look at connecting literature to expository and persuasive writing to help students make sense of it all.
