Social Studies Curriculum & Planning Day
For all Social Studies teachers in Non-Tested Subjects/Grade Levels



This day will consist of a learning segment focused on student engagement strategies in the social studies classroom, followed by hours of uninterrupted planning time for teachers to work and learn with others from their specific content areas.  Teachers will have time to brainstorm, network, plan engaging lessons, and create assessments.  

Participants should bring all resources needed for planning & instruction for upcoming units. 


Important Session Information:


Teachers in non-tested subjects/grade levels will prepare an instructional plan for second semester, collaborate, share resources, and have time to work on lesson plans. Grade 8 and U.S. history have additional planning days for help with the state assessments.
