This academy is for Grade 3 teachers that have already attended a 3-day Math Academy. This is a follow-up academy that is focused on Problem Solving and Discourse.

This academy is designed to:

• connect problem solving experiences and discourse strategies to deepen the content experienced in the original Mathematics Achievement Academy, Grade 3;

• explore and apply the problem-solving model found in the TEKS as a tool to help students make sense of mathematics and to help the mathematics make sense to students; and

• explore and apply mathematical language routines to equip students to communicate their mathematical understanding with clarity.

Experiences include:

This 6 hour face-to-face sessions and an online portion (self-paced over a 6-week period)

This training does include a $100 stipend for completing the ONLINE portion.   I am offering 20 spots so please register as soon as possible.
