Common disruptive trauma-response behaviors might include: walking out of the room without permission, using profanity while expressing deep anger, hiding under the desk in fetal position, or participating in aggressive behaviors for no apparent reason.  

The goal of this training is to educate participants on what trauma is and how it impacts students and faculty, provide ways to reduce fear responses, and how to avoid re-traumatizing students. 

We will use film clips and various training tools to understand the complexity of trauma and its' effect on the human brain.  By the end of the day, participants will leave with tools to build resiliency in the students they interact with on a daily basis.
