Science: Physics of Motion
Presenter: Lesley Cremeans, TTU Physics Education Instructor

In this morning Physics session, you will participate in hands-on investigations that will help build your content knowledge about position, direction, speed, velocity, and acceleration as it applies to the following TEKS: 6.8BCD, 8.6AB, IPC.4AB, PHYS.4BC and a plethora of process skills. Content and pedagogical strategies will be modeled by Lesley Cremeans, M.Ed., a Physics Education Instructor from Texas Tech University.  (This session includes a wide variety of content and is intended to help build your frame of reference for the physics concepts you teach in your classroom while giving you an opportunity to collaborate with teachers of the same content in a vertical pathway. An afternoon session that focuses on the application of Newton’s Laws will take place on this same day.  Register for both sessions if you want to join us for a full day of physics explorations!)
