Account Coding

This workshop will review and discuss in detail the account codes mandated by TEA in the Financial Accountability System Resource Guide. Due to the numerous accounts, we will not attempt to review each and every code.  The goal of the workshop will be to help participants understand the sections and purposes of the various parts of the twenty digit code structure. The workshop will also provide a working knowledge of how to locate appropriate account codes by exploring the various parts of the account code by section and finding answers to common items coded every day by school districts.  We will review each section of the account code including: fund, function, object, sub-object, organization, fiscal year, program intent code and other local option codes.

This workshop is for members of the Business Services Level 2 Contract

Important Session Information:

Please bring your FASRG Flipbook and Account Coding from the TEA FAR Guide to the workshop. We will have a limited number of flipbooks and guides on the day of the workshop. If you do not have either of these items or a new participant to the Account Coding workshop, please email Zia Flores at zflores@esc17.net by Thursday, May 9th so may we have those materials ready for you.
