Developing and Sustaining Foundational Language Skills in Grades K-5

This session will provide important information about the vertical alignment between the kindergarten through grade 5 Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills. We will work to understand the research and critical connections between phonological awareness, decoding, encoding, and advanced word study for our students. In addition, participants will practice and apply this knowledge across the word-learning continuum.
