Scoring Student Essays
4th Grade Expository Focus



Following the STAAR

Important Session Information:


Teachers of 4th Grade Writers will be taken through examples of STAAR essay examples and the rationale of their scores.  By reverse engineering the STAAR essays, teachers will be able to score their own students' essays and have a better understanding of where the students' strengths and weaknesses are.  Teachers will also discuss the next steps for students to achieve the next level of proficiency.
