Teaching Writing to Students with Significant Cognitive Disabilities
Expert Advice for Effective Writing Instruction



Teaching writing effectively can be challenging, but it is essential for the Special Educator who facilitates accessing the general curriculum for students with significant disabilities.  Join us to hear First Author Writing Curriculum creator and expert writing instructor, Dr. Janet Sturm, present on the following factors of teaching writing effectively:  a team approach, developmental writing scale, accommodations, new perspectives on writing for students with significant disabilities, best-practice advice, independence in writing, and more.
