Dyslexia Toolkit for Classroom Teachers



This training is for classroom teachers to better understand students who have dyslexia and how to provide appropriate supports for student success.

Participants will leave with:

  1. A common definition of dyslexia.
  2. Ability to distinguish between modifications and accommodations.
  3. An understanding of accommodations noted in the Dyslexia Handbook.
  4. Provide a deeper understanding of what it’s like to be a dyslexic student and how teachers can help them.
  5. What teachers need to know about teaching students identified with dyslexia
  6. Multi-sensory teaching methods for reading
  7. How to better meet the needs of dyslexic students
  8. How dyslexia and ADHD can overlap
  9. Tools that target working memory
