New ELAR/SLAR TEKS Training
2 Day Session for Grades 6-8 (Including ELLA Training for Grades 7-8)



2019-2020 ELAR Standards

Important Session Information:


The new English and Spanish Language Arts and Reading TEKS for Kindergarten-8th Grade are shceduled to be implemented in the 2019-2020 school year. In order for teachers to maximize their understanding of upcoming workshops this next school year, an understanding of the new TEKS is needed.   This training will help teachers understand the new ELAR TEKS in grades 6-8.

We will exlpore the seven strands and 

  • Identify key differences between old and new standards,
  • Understand the overview of the developmental progression of standards from K-12,
  • Deconstruct standards to determine expectations, and
  • Discuss the applicatino of the new TEKS.
