This two-day (16 hour) course will cover material in the National Restaurant Association's ServSafe couse book providing information on basic microbiology, foodborne illness, and regulations and practices for safe food handling in food service and retailing. The course will include the ServSafe Certification exam. Individuals scoring 90% or above on the certification exam are eligible to compelte an on-line NRA exam to become a Certified ServSafe instructor (there is no fee for the online exam). The training, course book and certification exam are covered by the registration fee.
Completing this training and passing the test at the 90% level will allow a teacher to prepare and certify students in ServSafe Manager Certification, which is a certification on the new 2019-2020 IBC list for Accountability purposes.
If you would like to have the ServSafe course book prior to the training, contact Heather Blount, CTE Specialist, by email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 806-281-5817.
