Labeling Areas/Stations of the Special Education Classroom
Clearly Defined Organization According to T-TESS Domain 1: Classroom Climate

In the Self-Contained Classroom, one evidence-based practice of organization is to clearly label the different areas in the classroom, and the labels must be able to be understood by the students for whom the classroom is organized.  Clear labeling is a standard linked to the Classroom Climate Domain on the T-TESS.

This session is for Special Education Teachers and Instructional Aides who serve students in Self-Contained Classrooms.  During this session, participants will receive support for deciding what labels to make.  Then, materials will be provided for making those labels to take back to the classroom.  What a great way to get your best school year ever started!

Each attendee should bring a list of all areas/stations in their classroom, and should be familiar with each student's communication needs.
