Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for Decision Makers

Interested in reduced paperwork and higher monthly reimbursements in your National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and School Breakfast Program (SBP)?

The Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010 provides an alternative to household applications in the NSLP and SBP.  The intent of the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) is to improve access to free school meals in eligible high poverty Local Educational Agencies and to eliminate the administrative burden of collecting household applications.

This session will provide an overview of the CEP requirements as well as walk through how to properly calculate the data from eligibility criteria to determine if this provision would be of benefit to your district/charter.

Districts currently participating in Provision 2 may receive higher reimbursement under CEP.
