Summer 2020 Project Geography Online

Join us for a one-day professional development workshop to expand your knowledge and teaching skills in geography!

Important Session Information:

Join us for a one-day professional development workshop to expand your knowledge and teaching skills in geography! During this workshop, teachers will have the opportunity to become familiar with existing free online video modules in geography. The modules cover topics such as water resources, tornado alley, precision agriculture, and more!

The modules provide a virtual professional learning community of geography teachers from around Texas, pedagogic enhancements, and plenty of resources and materials to be used right away in your classroom! These modules are perfect for teachers of World Geography, AP Human Geography and 6th grade World Cultures.

This workshop will also provide an opportunity for interested teachers to assist in training other teachers in their home school districts. CPE hours are available and a monetary stipend for each participant to cover cost of substitute. Teachers will need to bring a device to work on during this session.

Workshop will be presented by Grosvenor Center for Geographic Education
Department of Geography, Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas.
