Assessing English Learners for Special Education Identification with Brenda De La Garza



This evaluation webinar series is for Diagnosticians, LSSPs, and any other special education evaluation staff. The webinar series will have multiple webinars during the school year with topics related to special education evaluations.

This webinar will NOT be held at the Region 17 Education Service Center.  It will be accessed through your computer.  Please register through the Region 17 website with your ISD email address.  A link to the webinar will be emailed to you prior to the webinar event.


Important Session Information:


During this webinar participants will learn about the factors influencing second language learning and how this may be misinterpreted as learning deficits. The information provided by the presenter will focus on the principles and strategies that all evaluation personnel may usefor culturally fair and appropriate assessment practices in the assessment of English Language Learners for the presence of disabilities.
