CTE 101 for New (and next to new) Teachers



This collaborative conversation with new and next to new teachers is a fast paced, interactive overview of the duties of a CTE teacher. Participants will receive a binder full of resources for the new CTE teacher. Time is planned for networking and a question and answer session. We will review such topics as state and federal laws and guidelines, the SAAH (Student Attendance Accounting Handbook), funding basics for CTE on the state and federal side, CTE teaching credentials, career clusters, the foundation high school plan and endorsements, student industry certifications, business advisory councils and partnerships, non-traditional student participation in CTE courses, CTSOs, and much more.
