CACFP Child Care Meal Patterns and Meal Counts

This training will focus on the Child and Adult Care Food Program meal pattern requirements for children ages 1 and up.  Participants will review portion sizes for each age group and how to determine if a meal may be counted for reimbursement.

The training will also review the Meal Count and Attendance form developed by Texas Department of Agriculture for use by all contracting entities offering CACFP meals for reimbursement.  During the meal counting portion of the training, we will define a point of service meal count and how to best develop processes and procedures for meal counting and claiming.
