State Aid Template for Beginners

The state funding formulas are complex but the state has provided a state aid template to help districts budget and monitor state revenue estimates for the fiscal year.  This workshop will be a "hands-on" session to complete the template and calculate 17-18 state revenue estimates for your district.

The workshop is designed for inexperienced template users and will include details about data entry into the template.  The workshop will include discussion of the latest state aid template and school finance provisions of the TEC.  Participants will calculate state revenue based on their district's current student and financial information through the most recently completed six weeks.

Important Session Information:

Laptops will be available, but participants may bring their own laptop if they prefer.  If you use our laptops, be sure to bring a device to save the template to take home with you.

Participants will need to bring the documents listed in the attached file link.
