Over the coming months, the TEA is planning to visit every region of the state to provide a two-part workshop and meet with the early childhood education staff at each Education Service Center (ESC).  The workshop will be focused on:

• giving LEAs information and assistance in meeting the expectations of the high-quality prekindergarten components referenced in Rider 78
• introducing LEAs to the High-Quality Prekindergarten Self-Assessment tool

The meeting with the early childhood education staff at each ESC will also focus on collaborative planning for upcoming projects.

The following is the suggested time schedule for these events:

• Workshop (Part 1) for LEAs on High-Quality Prekindergarten Components:  10:15 – 12:00
• Workshop (Part 2) for LEAs on High-Quality Prekindergarten Self-Assessment tool:  1:30 – 3:30
