Growing Up WILD

This K-2 Workshop is designed to teach young learners about life science through creative thought provoking, scientifically sound, developmentally appropriate activities for educators. Curriculum includes inquiry based classroom and field based investigations with cross curricular connections. Each Participant will walk away from the training with the full curriculum! Spots are Limited

 

Every activity includes:

  • Quick Facts – scientifically accurate background information
  • Ready Set Go – step by step procedures
  • Warm up – prepare for learning and assessment of prior knowledge
  • Wrap up – conclusion and assessment
  • Take Me Outside – an outdoor extension
  • Healthy Me – safety, nutrition, health
  • Helping Hands – child-level stewardship
  • Mighty Math – math connections
  • Art Projects – spark creativity
  • Music & Movement – set to common children’s tunes
  • Centers & Extensions – self-directed activities and suggestions for continued exploration
  • Snacks – nutritious and delicious
  • Home Connections – extend learning to home in Spanish and English
