Title III ELA: Connecting Literacy & ELPS in the Social Studies Classroom



This training will help social studies teachers gain a toolbox of literacy strategies so they can encourage more reading, writing and critical thinking in the classroom. In addition, strategies to embed the the English Language Proficiency Standards (ELPS) that are part of the state-required curriculum as well as the Proficiency Level Descriptors (PLDs) will also be explored.
