Supporting Students through Grief: A Brain-Based Approach



Grief affects the brain, emotions, behavior, and relationships in powerful ways. This session explores what happens in the brain and body during grief, common grief responses, and how these responses often show up in children and adolescents. Participants will learn practical, brain-based strategies to recognize these grief responses in order to support students and foster healing in schools. Whether the loss is due to death, divorce, trauma or other significant life changes, this training equips educators with the knowledge and confidence to respond with empathy and hope.
