Business Services - Just In Time Workshop



Business Services Just-In-Time Workshops are designed to provide timely guidance and updates on annual processes that include specific reporting requirements, compliance expectations, and important deadlines. These sessions focus on upcoming reporting activities to ensure districts have the information and resources needed to complete submissions accurately and confidently.

Important Session Information:


This workshop will include a review of the 2024-2025 FIRST (Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas) ratings and the associated posting, reporting, and public notice requirements. Participants will gain a clear understanding of the steps required to meet compliance expectations and will be provided with additional resources to assist with completing all required reporting.
The second topic will focus on the Workers' Compensation Audit process. ESC Region 17 staff will review the wage classifications and reporting categories required by TASB, discuss common reporting challenges, and share reports and tools that can assist districts in preparing accurate audit submissions. Attendees will leave with practical guidance to streamline the reporting process and ensure required information is readily available.
We encourage districts to send staff responsible for FIRST reporting and Workers' Compensation Audit submissions so they are well prepared for these upcoming reporting requirements and can take advantage of the opportunity to ask questions and receive guidance before deadlines arrive.
