Mental Health Matters: Navigating Grief & Loss for Students with IDD
Join us for a time to address the potential grief impacts on some of our most vulnerable students. Students with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) experience grief much like their peers--but they may express and process it differently, and their support needs can be more complex. This one-hour virtual session is designed specifically for educators and school counselors to better understand how grief may manifest in students with IDD and how to respond in a supportive, informed way. We will focus on creating a classroom environment that promotes resilience, meets students' needs, and provides resources to turn to when concerns do arise.
