Effective Strategies for Solving Word Problems
K-5 Math Teachers



 This workshop focuses on strengthening instruction in math word problems by using research-based strategies to improve student comprehension and problem-solving success.
 
Participants will examine common ineffective practices, explore the role of comprehension and structure, and learn a consistent attack strategy to support students. Teachers will leave with practical tools, including an attack strategy for tackling problem schemas, to build student confidence and accuracy.
