Online Gifted and Talented 30 Hours Foundation Course
Summer 2026



This online course fulfills requirements for all 30 hours of the 5-day foundations training for teachers of the gifted and talented. It is designed to be part of the entire 30-hour training mandated by Texas Administrative Code, and should not be used as a 6-hour GT update. This professional development session is open to educators whose districts are members of the Region 17 Gifted and Talented Cooperative


Important Session Information:


This self-paced online course is being conducted through Canvas. The course will run from June 8, 2026, through September 7, 2026. To participate, you must be employed by a Region 17 district that is a part of the Gifted and Talented COOP. The course enrollment information will be sent out on in your confirmation email from ESC Works system to the email on file. (scroll down to the bottom of the email and look for a join code link). The links do not show up in blue but you can copy/paste the link in your browser to access the course. If you do not have a Canvas account, please email the contact person below on this registration page.
