Suicide Protocols & Best Practices for Schools: Prevention, Response & Support



This workshop provides districts with practical strategies to prevent, identify, and respond to student suicide risk. Participants will learn evidence-based protocols for recognizing warning signs, implementing a district protocol for suicide risk and crisis, as well as intervention procedures. The session emphasizes collaboration among educators, counselors, and families, ensuring a coordinated approach to student safety and well-being. Through interactive scenarios, discussion, and resource sharing, attendees will gain confidence in applying protocols that protect students and foster a supportive school environment.
