Important Session Information:


Addressing Secondary Instructional Practices that Align with STAAR Expectations: Informational Texts, Argumentative Texts, Fiction Texts, and Paired Passages. 

Participants will: 

  • Address the Reading STAAR Questions, Thinking, and Misconceptions.
  • Group SEs together to address the needs.
  • Explore and plan the process of teaching these skills.
  • Go through the process of activity (See It, Name It, Do It).
  • Practice explicit instruction with their learning partners.
  • Use process time to differentiate with their teaching partners.

This session is intended to give each teacher a plan for the year that will help grow their students' reading skills one step at a time.
