Mental Health and Behavioral Health Symposium - Big Emotions, Wise Responses
Supporting emotional regulation and anxiety in schools

Come join us for a day of learning with Allison Edwards, LPC. Based on her best-selling book Flooded: A Brain-Based Guide to Help Children Manage Emotions, this session will equip educators with practical, brain-based strategies to help children regulate their emotions.

Participants will learn how to identify when a child is “flooded” and how to guide them through the reset process. The session will also focus on recognizing anxiety in students, effectively communicating with parents about student anxiety, and providing meaningful support within the classroom.

Educators will leave feeling confident—not only in helping students reset their brains—but also in knowing how to regulate their own responses when triggered by dysregulated children.
