Four Steps to Integrate a Geographic Lens in Any Social Studies Class

Read, Question, Map & Connect. Many students struggle with Geographic Literacy and making connections between the impact of geography on historical events. Help give students a context for understanding the "why" of history by embedding the "where" into your lesson with four easy steps. Participants will gain a renewed understanding of how to teach the required geography standards and learn strategies they can start using immediately in the classroom.
This course is great for teachers of Texas History (4th and 7th grades), US History (8th grade or high school), World Cultures, World Geography, and World History.
