Region 17 Gifted and Talented Counselor Training
Fall 2025



This fully online training is required for school counselors that serve gifted students by the Texas State Plan for Gifted Education and Texas Education Code.  TEC §33.006


Important Session Information:


This self-paced online course is being conducted through Canvas. The course will run from September 8, 2025, through December 14, 2025. To participate, you must be employed by a Region 17 district that is a part of the Gifted and Talented COOP. The course enrollment information will be sent out on the morning of September 8, 2025. If you do not have a Canvas account, please create one as a STUDENT for this course using this link- esc17.instructure.com Once you register for the course, all of the Canvas course enrollment information will be in your ESCworks Confirmation email. Scroll down to the bottom and you will see the course link and join code.
