This training will be based on the TEA training for the Research Based Instructional Strategies, RBIS. Two contents were developed by TEA on the latest research in Math and RLA.
What are the RBIS?
Research-based instructional strategies are 3-5 instructional strategies in each content
area that represent the most significant changes needed to bridge the gap between
research and practice.
The RLA RBIS include:
- Foundational Skills
- Complex Text
- Knowledge Coherence
- Text Based Responses
Who should attend the RBIS for Math Training?
- District and campus leaders seeking to strengthen reading language arts instruction in their school(s)
- District and campus leaders who are implementing High Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM) in the area of reading language arts
