Paraprofessional Academy: Building Skills for Student Success
DAY 2



This two-day professional development training empowers paraprofessionals with essential strategies to provide effective academic and behavioral support. Participants will gain knowledge and skills needed to promote student success across all educational settings.

  • Day 1 focuses on core responsibilities of paraprofessionals, including instructional support, ethical and legal considerations, confidentiality, accommodations and modifications, and the importance of promoting student independence through fading support.

  • Day 2 provides a targeted, role-specific training for paraprofessionals. Participants will be split into two groups based on their primary placement - General education (inclusion) or Self-contained classroom. 




Important Session Information:


Participants must attend both days of training and demonstrate mastery of the content by completing a post-assessment with a minimum score of 80%. Sessions will be repeated for make-up opportunities or reteaching to ensure all participants are successful.
