Institute for Curriculum Services presents Israel, Judaism, & the Middle East



Topics such as the Holocaust, conflict in the Middle East, and Judaism can be challenging to teach.  Yet, these topics are integrated in the TEKS of multiple social studies courses.  Participants in this session will have the opportunity to build their own content knowledge and expand their collection of instructional strategies on the complex topics of Ancient IsraelHistory of European AntisemitismTeaching the Arab-Israeli Conflict Using Primary SourcesDeveloping Religious Literacy,  and Teaching About Judaism. Teachers also will receive quality instructional resources that can be integrated into lessons in any of the social studies courses.  

Teachers of the following courses will not want to miss this opportunity:

6th Gr World Cultures, 7th Gr Texas History, World Geo, AP Human Geo, US History, AP US History, World History, Sociology
