Extending Building Thinking Classrooms in the Math Class

Important Session Information:


This professional learning session equips educators with practical strategies from the Building Thinking Classrooms framework to enhance their existing curriculum. By focusing on fostering deeper student engagement and critical thinking, this session aims to transform traditional teaching methods and improve student outcomes by integrating Building Thinking Classrooms into your curriculum.

As a result of our learning, participants will:

  • explore the core principles of BTC, including promoting productive struggle, facilitating collaborative problem-solving, and encouraging student autonomy.
  • learn how to seamlessly integrate BTC strategies with their current curriculum, enhancing lessons
  • experience practical strategies and examples to help teachers apply BTC practices effectively in their teaching

This session will be open to all grade levels of mathematics. This is a repeated session from October 31.
