Taking a Look at the New Social Studies TEKS
Elementary Session (K-5)



This session will provide time to learn the additions and changes to our K-12 Social Studies TEKS due to the Senate Bill 3 changes from 2021. Teachers will be provided with time to study, collaborate and plan with the new TEKS. 

Important Session Information:


This session will focus on the Kindergarten through 5th grade social studies TEKS. Participants will leave the session with:

  • resources to support the teaching of social studies in the elementary school day.
  • strategies to incorporate foundational language skills with our social studies content.
