Texas Model Guide for School Counselors

This workshop will provide an in-depth exploration of the Texas Model for Comprehensive School Counseling Programs (CSCP), grounded in the statutory requirements of the Texas Education Code (TEC) §§33.005-33.007. Led by Stephanie Lerner, Counselor Support Program Manager for the Texas Education Agency (TEA), participants will gain a thorough understanding of the key components and responsibilities of a comprehensive school counseling program. Guiding counselors on how to navigate and implement a CSCP, we will assess district needs and build a program that supports the academic, career, and social/emotional development of students.
